The Scandinavian Mountain sheep produce a lovely, bulky wool with lots of spring. Their wool is excellent for spinning.
"Stricken" refers to the naturally-occuring strands of black and brown wool in the otherwise creamy white roving.
Each bag contains 100g of wool.
Origin: United Kingdom
About the breed
Scandinavian Mountain sheep are descended from the primitive breeds of Sweden and Norway. They are one of the oldest breeds in the world. They are descended from wild short-tailed sheep, and are small sheep with dual coats. Their grazing habits are adapted to the sparse, heather moorlands of the coasts.
