Romni Wools is an independent Local Yarn Shop specializing in natural fibre yarns, and supplies for knitting, crochet, hand-spinning, weaving, and various other needlecrafts. We are one of the largest natural fibre yarn and wool roving stores in Canada.

Romni's Own Fibre Collection

Romni’s specialty roving collection for hand spinners and fibre artists.

We are proud to offer an array of 100% pure wool rovings, all ideal for spinning, wet felting and needle felting, and other fibre arts.

Many of these rovings are breed specific. After the past century of decline in the demand for wool, and variety of wools available, there is now a resurgence of interest in heritage sheep breeds, some of which were nearly lost to obscurity.

Our collection also includes other rovings which are blends of wool from different breeds, or wool from cross-bred sheep, but are all raised in a certain country, or have other unique characteristics about them. We even have bags of scoured locks, for wild and untamed felting and spinning!

For those who want to use roving as a jumbo yarn, our wool roving is about 2.5cm in width and approximately 4m per 100g.

We also have a selection of plant-based and artificial rovings.
