Looking through a collection of 1940s memorabilia, Debbie Bliss was inspired to create designs in the Rialto range of yarns by a poster that encouraged women to grow sustaining crops in the countryside during war time. Young, fresh-faced and idealistic, the model land girl would rejoice over these handmade items with retro details like cables, defined waistlines and fairisle. 

Knit with a swing band on a Bakelite radio for full immersion.
